Wild Wednesday

Had a wild time today...I've set my schedule on WEDs to be meetings from 9:30 - noon and then 1 - 3:30 so that I can meet with all of our staff on the same day and do our staff meeting. That will wear a person out...but in a weird sort of way it is energizing! You get to hear and see all the exciting things God is doing in our midst.

It's funny how we can sit and look at the stuff we may be doing and not consider it very important until we all come together and share what's happening and see how God is weaving all these things together for His good! Wednesdays make me want to work harder and pray longer!

And yes, there are times of discouragement that come...but that's why God made us a team. He made us for one another to encourage and support, to lift up and pray for.

There are some pretty cool things God is pulling together here behind the scenes...we've just brought three new people on staff and they are doing terrific! It helps that we've been able to watch them the past5-6 months (in one case a year!!) and see how they make choices, how they react to stressful situations and how they want to serve the church! Each of them has a servant's heart...I would love to have a dozen more (10 dozen more) like them! They are a blessing already!

I'm here at the church tonight having brought my kids to youth group...what an eclectic bunch of young people! Skaters, jocks, artsy, introverts, clowns, etc. Yet all are drawn here and they invite their friends too! New people are coming every week! There's an excitement building here that should be contagious to the whole church body.

You should see them worship and then pray for one another...God is faithful to show up and moves on these students. I pray that he continues to set them on fire, so we can watch them burn -- and even get set on fire ourselves! Talk to ya soon!
